Planned Events: Planting of a Liberty Tree

The first Liberty Tree was near Boston Common and was a meeting place for the first patriots. As time went on many towns and cities had their own Liberty Trees for meeting places prior to the Revolution. The new Liberty Tree will be our meeting place and symbol that we wish to return to following the Founding Fathers vision of Liberty.

  1. Well done! I really enjoyed the event.

I thought the would-be disruptor was handled particularly well. Polite applause.

It's interesting that his message was basically, "Hate thou the rich, for they are damned." By the reckoning of our dominant culture, he was the only NON-"hater" there and the rest of us are "haters."

I wanted to ask him, "Are you really all that religious or are you an old commie from the 60s condescending to a bunch of rubes from "Deliverance?" (Just as well I didn't ask, I know.)

Hope that tree makes it. It's starting life in its new home looking a little wilted.
